Dame Laura Kenny, the most successful female Olympian in British history, has joined the bill for Team GB House, Team GB’s hospitality and entertainment venue at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
An Evening with Dame Laura Kenny will take place on both the 1st and 4th August in Team GB House. The five-time Olympic champion and seven-time world champion will take to the stage for an in-depth Q&A with the hosts, joining the bill alongside Sir Chris Hoy (3rd August) and Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill (30th & 31st July).
Tickets for all nights at the House are on sale now via House.TeamGB.com.
An Evening with Dame Laura Kenny will complement two jam-packed evenings of live sport on show in Team GB House. The 1st August will include the women’s gymnastics individual all-around final and the men’s swimming 200m backstroke final, while a bumper evening on the 3rd August will see the men’s pommel final in gymnastics, the women’s 100m final in athletics, men’s doubles finals in tennis, and the mixed 4×100 medley relay final in swimming.
Laura said: “I couldn’t be happier to be heading to Team GB House at Paris 2024! It feels almost full circle for me. My first experience of the House was at my Olympic debut in London – now the Games are back in Europe and I’m going back to Team GB House to experience it all from the other side. I’m so excited that I’m going to get to do that with my family and hopefully I’ll get to meet the fans that have supported me over the years too.”
Since London 2012, Team GB House has provided a base in the host city for athletes, their family and friends, and Team GB guests to celebrate throughout the Olympic Games. Paris 2024 will see Team GB House open to the general public for the first time ever, offering fans the chance to rub shoulders with Olympians past and present at the breathtaking Pavillon d’Armenonville, just moments from the buzz of central Paris.
Sport and entertainment presenters Nick Bright, Nicole Holliday and Olympian Perri Shakes-Drayton will host the nightly live show in Team GB House. As well as catching the hosts in conversation with Laura and other Olympic legends, ticket holders will have the opportunity to join in-person medal celebrations with Team GB athletes and watch the biggest moments of the Games unfold live on the big screens. A house band, live DJ sets, and the finest British cuisine will provide the finishing touches, with full details of the programme to be announced soon.
The British Olympic Association (BOA), which runs Team GB, is entirely independently funded. All revenue from ticket sales goes towards supporting the BOA to take athletes to Olympic events, including the Olympic Games, Youth Olympic Games, European Games and more.
