TaiSPO – Visitor Pre-registration Is Open

TaiSPO Will Bring Exciting Sports Tech and Ultimate Daily Sports Experience in March 2023

The internationally-recognized sporting goods exhibition Sports and Fitness Taiwan (TaiSPO) will return March 22-25, 2023. The event will be held at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, Hall 2 (TaiNEX 2) and feature a full range of sporting goods, fitness equipment, sports technology, and workout services for all ages. A total of 150 exhibitors will span 800 booths, making TaiSPO the perfect matchmaking platform for the sports, fitness, and wellness industries.

Taiwan has long been lauded as the kingdom of high-end sports and fitness equipment. In addition to years of experiences in OEM/ODM, its strong R&D capacity is shaping the transformation of Taiwanese companies from manufacturing to developing their own brands. Taiwan also has a well-known information and communication technology (ICT) sector to use to its advantage, developing wearable devices, sensors, and software/hardware that are highly competitive on the world stage. With cross-industry synergy, Taiwan has become the ideal place to be to push the boundaries of sports technology.

Taiwan’s Executive Yuan launched the “Sports and Technology Action Plan” this year (2022) and is set to invest an estimated NT$4.6 billion (US$154.6 million) in five years to spur the rise of the domestic sports technology industry. This plan aims to turn Taiwan into a hub for sports technology in the Asia-Pacific region.

To reflect the changes in the industry and expand the sports market to all members of the community, the organizer TAITRA has given the Taipei Sporting Goods Show a make-over, turning this event with a history of more than 40 years into a more inclusive “Sports and Fitness Taiwan.” The exhibition includes everything from indoor fitness, outdoor sports, water sports, athletics, sports fashion and newly added Sports Tech Zone, which features smart sports equipment, data analysis services, and software & mobile apps. It is hoped that visitors will get to see different sides of the market and explore the infinite possibilities of the sports industry.

Additionally, with more people coming to realize the importance of preventive medicine and sports for seniors in the ageing society we live in, sports and fitness equipment and products designed for the elderly have boomed in recent years. The “All-Age Fitness” Zone featured in this year’s TaiSPO has wellness and physical fitness equipment for both children and seniors. With equipment or workout sessions suitable for different age groups, we hope to make sports a part of everyone’s life.

Some of the biggest names in the industry, such as Dyaco, DK City, JK Fitness, SportsArt, SRS, Body Charger, Sportsman, Body Dynamic, Royaly, and Fitness Authority Industrial will be on hand to show their latest equipment and solutions. The Taiwan Sports Technology Association and the Taiwan Sporting Goods Manufacturers Association will also bring in many of their members to showcase Taiwan’s latest innovations in sports and fitness.

You don’t want to miss the plethora of events that will be held during this year’s TaiSPO. Exhibits such as the celebration of cycling “Outdoor Taipei,” camping, yoga, and many other athletics cultural events, group fitness classes, virtual sports games hosted by KOLs, industry forums, and new product launches will undoubtedly bring much interest and excitement to the exhibition as a whole.

TaiSPO has long been one of the most iconic sports and fitness exhibitions in the Asia-Pacific region. It sees over a thousand international buyers every year who come for high-quality supply chain partners, discover new products, and get to know what the latest sports applications look like. It is also a springboard for international exhibitors to expand into the Asia-Pacific market and enhance brand exposure. The Taiwan government has lifted border restrictions from October 13, 2022, and foreign visitors will be exempt from quarantine. This is a prelude to the recovery of international trade and business in the second half of 2023. A whole new TaiSPO is ready to give visitors an opportunity to network and explore! Pre-register for the show and save the dates.
